We started out our short Fijian adventure with a short stay in the tourist capital of Fiji, Nadi. We stayed at the Wailoaloa Beach area and enjoyed the beach, steins of beer and good food before transferring to our Fijian island of choice.
Our chosen island was Robinson Crusoe Island and during our time here we witnessed many tribal fire dances and ceremonies such as cava drinking and fire walking. During our time here we also got to socialise with the locals while sitting round a bon-fire on the beach. Most nights the number of staff on the island outnumbered the tourists with there only ever being a handful of tourists staying on the island overnight. This led to a very peaceful night-time environment with friendly staff. During our time on the island we went and watched 3 sunsets with a beer each time and noticed why hollywood film directors crave after the sunsets here. Each time was different but all were unique in their own way and were truly the best that we have seen this year.
From Fiji we left on a flight to Auckland and onto country number 15!
