Victoria Falls also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya in the local dialect. We had seen so many waterfalls on our travels by this point. Two of which being the
worlds biggest, this would be the third. Niagara Falls has the largest volume of water, Iguazu Falls the largest waterfall system in the world and
Victoria Falls the longest falls in horizontal distance in the world. Everyone should know by this point that I'm a huge fan of waterfalls. It is a
bit of a running joke in our household and friendship groups that every trek I take has at least one waterfall somewhere, and sometimes the waterfall
treks I plan end up at more of a dry trickle than a raging torrent. But thats not to say sometimes the falls are amazingly impressive. Victoria falls
was one of the later.
The park here is massive and you really need the best part of a day to visit the falls from every angle and path and that was certainly something we
did and I'd recommend to all who do visit here. How often do you have the chance to truly experience mother nature in all her power and glory. We
were even lucky enough to be graced by the local wildlife in the form of Monkeys who were intrigued by us and a loan couple of Zebra for no apparent
reason.
From here we hopped over the border into Zimbabwe to see the other side of the falls. Much as we had done the previous year on our travels to Nigara Falls and Iguazu Falls.
