WHY DO WE TRAVEL?!

To widen our horizons and perspective on the world. “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page”. ☺

Seriously though travel gives freedom from most of the chains the modern world puts on us; expectations of who or what we should be, the 40 hour work week and life responsibilities.

Travelling as a traveller and not a tourist also often places you outside of your comfort zone and as a result it forces you to learn new things and adapt to your environment thus allowing you to actually immerse in a place.

We tend to do 2-3 week holidays however we have certainly in the past done longer holidays up to a maximum of 396 days. It’s certainly cost effective to take more time and see more places than it is to do lots of shorter trips; both in financial terms and in terms of the environment.

Ultimately we travel because we want new and exciting experiences and to try new things. ☺
