The drive into this state was the worst experience we had of driving in the whole of America. It was gridlocked, with numerous nutcases driving cutting in and out. How we didn't have an accident I have no idea. I've driven in many places in many cities, but this was just anarchy made even worse by the fact we usually drive on the over side of the road.
Like any other large american city, but lacking the sites or charm. The police wear swat / military gear 24/7, drive suv's and carry assault rifles. The accents here were also much more coarse and deep. During our time here we stayed in little Greece, visited the Chicago sign and saw the Millennium Park with the giant mirrored jelly bean.
Next, after a quick overnight stop in Cleveland we headed into New York State on route to the mighty Niagara Falls.
